Racial Justice Allyship Conversation Guide

This important and sensitive document required careful thought and planning prior to design. Thinking from the perspective of the writers as well as the audience, I selected visuals that would make the reader feel slightly uncomfortable, choosing people images that look you straight in the eye; images that veered slightly from the brand guidelines.

Corporate Strategy

Boldly moving forward

Concept storyboarding – many markets, many business groups, many connections of ideas and expertise – how do we all connect?

Watch the final video developed from my storyboard - turn up the volume to hear the narrative.

Presentation Design

Nature Positive

My slide designs for a Nature Positive deck, that was presented at the 2024 G7 Alliance for Nature Positive Economies Conference, enhanced the narrative by using a kingfisher and a seedling with an architectural overlay to support the Engineering With Nature messaging. A kingfisher’s aerodynamic diving into water inspired the redesign of a Japanese bullet train.

Like the seedling, the wonders of nature that are all around us can, and are inspiring the engineering, design and construction of innovative infrastructure solutions.

CEO Leadership Roundtable

This suite of collateral included a document called Leadership Lens, from Jacobs CEO, and a companion PowerPoint template that would be used for each of four training sessions using images that reflected the topic on the table top – clean, minimalistic and impactful.

The message from the CEO on page 10 has been removed.

Advertising

Pre-approved Shelf Ads

Designed and distributed branded, pre-approved shelf-ads for all business groups and markets including Corporate, Water, Transportation, Environmental, Consulting, Sustainability, etc.

Advertising can be a quick burn with tight deadlines, which required corporate approval. These pre-approved art files were provided to designers for publication size adjustments across the company ensuring our external marketing was on brand with both visual and messaging tone of voice and could easily meet a looming deadline.

By having many variations of ads ready to go, this was a big save for the designers valuable time.

Campaigns

Culture campaign

The culture campaign had six key initiatives to engage and inspire employees to be conscious of their contribution to the success of the company. By using abstract art to represent each initiative, it allowed the viewer to interpret what it meant to them personally, while unconsciously leading them in a direction that resonated with the initiative.

Awards campaign

Designed a mock-up for Jacobs’ internal BeyondExcellence Awards, providing creative direction to the web-based designer. From these mock-ups an internal website was created inviting employees to apply for the annual company awards. The campaign was inviting, clean and on-brand.

Safety campaign

Do you care enough?
A series of safety posters designed using the concept that injuries impact not just you but your entire family, at work and at home.

Social Media

Podcast series redesign

I gave a visual facelift to Jacobs’ If/When podcast series, providing a PowerPoint template with guidance for the user to choose a vibrant, relevant image in the placeholder, edit the text and export for social media promotion.

Art Direction

Mood Boards

I developed and designed mood boards for select markets to add creative direction encouraging market-aligned graphic designers to stay on brand, also providing them ideas on how to design with more impact using data visualization examples and consistent brand content.

Stock images were selected, licensed and available for download across the organization.

Large Format

Designing for large format production requires specialized knowledge of printing output to ensure the branded imagery is clear and crisp. Below are a few of the conferences I have designed art to skin various areas or booths.

Together We Win conference

This was a combined event with the Leadership Team as well as individuals in the company’s Graduate Development Program.

The concept I designed reflected wisdom and knowledge being passed back and forth from leadership to recent graduates. We need to be open to accept ideas and learn from one other. Each person we encounter holds a piece of wisdom we likely didn’t know we needed.

Conference center entrance wall - 533” x 94”
